Since graduating from Cooper Union in 2011, Louis Lim has been working as a designer and maker for studio ai architects.

Louis Lim's sculptures and designs explore ideas of function, utility and play. Conventionally, design addresses utility while sculpture explores emotion and form. As we use and live with industrial products and furniture, we create memories and meaning. Through our interaction with objects, we also gain a deeper understanding of its hidden form and architecture. In so doing, their utilitarian design begins to shift to that of an emotional and aesthetic significance. Makingworks continually strives to exist in this realm between design and art.
